A new railway station topped by a high-rise building was completed in 2011 in Frankfurt. Named THE SQUAIRE (a contraction of ‘square’ and ‘air’), the complex is practically a city in its own right, with business centres, office units, car park, two hotels, a shopping mall… For this huge project, Etex supplied boards for steel claddings and cable ducts, fire protection glass (with a fire-resistance of 30 minutes), and more than 300,000 m² of fire and smoke protection boards. Promat Germany’s Systemglas fire-resistant glass and Promatect-LS fire and smoke protection boards have contributed to this project’s success.
