The incredible potential of building renovation is key to meeting the European plan of reducing CO2 emissions by 80% to 95% by 2050. URSA’s insulation products offer high-performance solutions, making the renovation of existing buildings to a nearly zero-energy standard possible.
Attaining European targets before 2050 will only be possible if Europe’s existing building stock is intensively renovated over the next few decades. New buildings account for only roughly 1% of the total housing stock in Europe annually. Thus, increasing the building renovation rate to 2.5% or 3% per year should be Europe’s goal.
