Connecting the Port of Miami on Douglas Island to the MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island, the two-lane Port Miami twin tunnels 12.8 meters diameter were opened for traffic on 3 August 2014. The 1.3 kilometre undersea twin tunnels harbours an impressive touch of Etex inside, as we notably provided 51,934 m² of Promat-T fire protection boards installed in a facetted system to create cutting-edge internal fire protection to the concrete segment tunnel lining. A stunning feature that protects the tunnel from fire and flames. Promat US’s Promat-T fire protection boards and Promaspray-F5 fire protection spray have contributed to this project’s success.
