In January, I had a major stroke (left side brain), causing right-side disability - I lost my arm and leg use, and my speech was affected. I had ten months of intensive physiotherapy and neurotherapy post-stroke and learned to walk and drive again. Today, 12/10/22, I did my first customer presentation at their premises—part of my phased return. I used the techniques learnt in speech therapy.
I am back at work and working a 4 day week while I continue my rehabilitation working stamina, balance, memory and fine motor skills. With the support of my teammates in Etex New Ways I aim to make a positive recovery with a few adaptations to the way that I work. I continue physiotherapy and neuropharphy as the first 2 years or recovery with shape my future.
