Year after year, our global number of accidents and frequency rate have been dropping. In 2018, 73% of Etex companies were accident-free.
50 maintenance-free biodigesters for over 200 people. Since August 2019, Etex Argentina – in association with Selavip and in collaboration with the Madre Tierra Civil Association and the Healthy Children Project – installed 50 biodigesters in Moreno and José C. Paz, villages located in the province of Buenos Aires.
Building primary schools to boost education. In 2019, Etex South Africa joined forces with Ikhayalami. Together with this non-profit organisation, which offers technical construction expertise, Etex South Africa built seven primary schools in the Western Cape.
Our company in Romania pitched in to assist NGO Habitat for Humanity with the Big Build project: the biggest volunteer initiative for accelerated construction in Europe in 2017.
An earthquake of 7.8 on the Richter scale destroyed homes and communities throughout Ecuador in April 2016, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. With the epicentre in the north-west of the country, more than 30,000 people have lost their homes to the natural disaster. To help out citizens, the government of Ecuador, along with several relief agencies, appealed for solutions to rebuild the stricken areas through the aid programme Casatón, Houses for Ecuador.
In Nigeria, there is a significant demand for more and improved housing as a result of continuous population growth. Three billion people are living in cities and about 40% of the urban population lives in slums. A lot of people are unable to access conventional housing programmes. Two such citizen groups in urgent need of a place to call their own are the people who are on the run from Boko Haram and those who are dwelling in extreme social emergency. Global NGO Selavip funds local initiatives that provide shelter to people in need. Etex company Nigerite decided to back the cause.
Peru’s cultural heritage and exceptional nature make the country a paradise on earth for globetrotters. In some Peruvian cities, however, street crime and assaults go unnoticed by tourists. The fact that 86% of the population claims to feel unsafe speaks volumes, though. In the capital Lima, Casa Hogar Caritas Felices offers shelter to girls between the ages of 6 and 18 who have fallen victim to abuse. As the refuge centre’s infrastructure was in very poor condition, Etex company Cerámica San Lorenzo decided to support the cause in its own way, with a modest contribution.
Indonesian households include not only parents and children, but often grandparents and unmarried relatives as well. To give these large families the homes they deserve, NGO Selavip sets out to fund local housing projects. And for that, it can count on Etex’s support.
All over the world, international NGO Selavip is funding housing projects for those in need. In 2013, Etex supported the organisation to improve the roofing of 182 shelters in Bogotá, Colombia.
Many organisations throughout Peru provide support to single mothers. In 2013, Etex and Selavip, an international NGO for the funding of housing projects, extended a helping hand as well.
Improving living conditions of Peruvian families. In 2019, Etex partnered with non-profit organisation Techo, a Latin American housing initiative fighting poverty in countries across the region. The intent? To build nine modular residential solutions of 16 m2 in surface area in the Ventanilla district.
